Women's Business Enterprise
In February, 2002, Ruxton Design Corporation was certified by Baltimore City as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE). Since that time, we have successfully participated as a sub-consultant in both highway engineering and surveying Projects, developing a most cordial and professional relationship with the prime consultants with whom we have worked. Other jurisdictions in which we are certified as a WBE are Baltimore, Charles and Howard counties.
WBE Services
Ruxton Design has provided surveying and engineering services as a sub-consultant to local engineering firms designing projects for Baltimore City‘s Department of Transportation and for Baltimore City's Bureau of Water and Waste Water.
Perhaps due to Ruxton Design Corporation’s extensive experience in having been a prime consultant itself, we are probably more aware than others as to the responsibilities, obligations, and the extreme importance of a cooperative effort to which a prime consultant is entitled.
None of our work is released to a prime consultant before having the work reviewed and checked by a “fresh set of eyes” to assure quality control and accuracy. We perform the work assigned to us in a competent and professional manner adhering to any comprehensive, or specific, guidelines that the prime consultant might suggest in order to have the project proceed smoothly and in timely manner. Our preparation of proposals, including Form 254 and Form 255, is accurate and meaningful for the project involved as well as being delivered by the date requested by the prime consultant.
It is our belief that though the prime consultant may review our work product in a general fashion, the prime consultant should not have to scrupulously check our work.
In short, anything that Ruxton Design can do to “ease the burden,” so to speak, of the prime consultant will be done and done in such a way that is completely acceptable to our client.
