About Our Company - A Solid History
Ruxton Design Corporation is a woman owned surveying and highway engineering firm located in Towson, Maryland that was was established in 1975.
Since that time, the Firm has provided the various types of surveys used by title companies, attorneys, homebuilders and private owners for property settlements throughout the State of Maryland.
As a certified Baltimore City Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) since 2002, Ruxton Design Corporation has participated in both highway engineering and engineering surveying projects. Subsequently, we have been certified as a WBE in Baltimore, Howard and Charles Counties.
About Our Work - Inherent Quality
Elegance and high visual aspect are the distinguishing attributes of our work, attributes not often associated with the words “surveying” and “engineering.” Our presentation of drawings and auxiliary documents are developed to the very highest standards of quality and excellence.
Clarity and correctness of our drawings is of paramount importance to us. Our drawings are prepared using the computer drafting program AutoCAD™ supplemented with hundreds of custom computer programs that we specifically developed to ensure the accuracy and proper representation of our work.
Precision in obtaining survey field data is the responsibility of our licensed surveyor who supervises our staff of experienced field personnel. We use our own, in-house, state-of-the-art GPS technology and associated computer software as well as the more traditional surveying equipment and procedures.
High standards in our engineering work is maintained under the supervision of our licensed professional engineer whose experience covers all phases of highway engineering and brick paver design.
Original drawings and plats are made on durable, transparent Mylar™ and are furnished to our Clients with as many additional paper copies - on bright, white, top-of-the-line reproduction paper - as the Client requires. Both the Mylar™ and paper copies may be furnished in color if the Client so desires.
About our People - Dedicated and Talented
Adrienne L. Benner, Owner
Adrienne is the President of Ruxton Design Corporation and oversees all facets of our day-to-day surveying and engineering operations. She is also responsible for quality control elements and client relations.
William T. Matthews, P.L.S
Bill is a licensed Property Line Surveyor and is Ruxton Design Corporation’s surveyor of record. Prior to joining the firm, Bill was the chief of Surveying for Baltimore City for 14 years and has extensive experience (40 years) in all aspects of surveying.
David R. Benner, Field Supervisor
David is in charge of the daily activities of our surveying personnel and has more than 20 years of general surveying experience. Additionally, he operates our Global Positioning System (GPS) field equipment and the ancillary computer programs associated with this.
Richard W. Benner, P.E.
Dick is a licensed engineer in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia and has been active in all phases of Civil Engineering. Prior to working for Ruxton Design Corporation and its predecessor company, he was Baltimore City’s Chief Bridge Engineer for eleven years.
